“#HarryPotter and the #CursedChild” will be performed in San Francisco at The Curran in the fall of 2019! The San Francisco run will be the fourth engagement of the play overall — and the second in the United States. The play, which is both a commercial and critical hit, is currently running in London and New York, and an engagement is set to begin in Melbourne, Australia, in early 2019.
According to the New York Times, the play is the most expensive nonmusical production in Broadway history, partly due to its special effects. It recently won six Tony Awards, including Best Play.
